Arthritis

Arthritis is inflammation of one or more joint, or the inflammation in the cartilage surrounding the joint capsule causing pain, swelling and stiffness. Over time joints can lose strength and pain and become more disabling.

 Risk Factors:

  • Excess weight (obesity)

  • Family history

  • Age

  • Previous bone/ligament injury (for example: anterior cruciate ligament(ACL), tear)

Symptoms:

  • Pain

  • Stiffness

  • Swelling

  • Redness

  • Decrease range of motion

How can you manage the mild to moderate symptoms?

  • Balancing between rest and activity

  • Using hot and cold compressions

  • Strengthening exercises to increase the range of motion

  • Taking anti-inflammatory and analgesics

  • Maintaining healthy weight

 Diclofenac sodium (Fenaclomex®) is one of the NSAIDs that has the powerful anti-inflammatory and have analgesic effect.

Dose:

1 tablet every 12 hours after a meal
