Hepatitis C is a viral infection that causes liver inflammation, leading to serious liver damage. It is transmitted through blood, needles, injections, using person’s hygienic tools as shavers, nail clippers.

Hepatitis C is curable through direct acting anti-virals, that usually the treatment period lasts from two to six months depending on the severity of the cases.

A person may be infected and doesn’t know since the disease is known to be silent for many years, until the virus damages enough part of the liver to cause damage and reveal the signs and symptoms.

These signs and symptoms are:

• Easily bleeding
• Easily bruising
• Fatigue
• Poor appetite
• Yellow discoloration of skin and eyes (Jaundice)
• Itchy-skin
• Ascites (building up fluid in the abdominal cavity)
• Dark-colored urine
• Swelling in your legs
• Confusion, drowsiness and slurred speech (hepatic encephalopathy)
• Spider-like blood vessels on your skin (spider angiomas)

Acute hepatitis usually develops no symptoms, but it may present muscle aches, jaundice, nausea along with fever. Only 14% of patients who have acute hepatitis C are cleared by the spontaneous viral clearance and the rest develop into chronic hepatitis C that need the treatment with any of the direct acting anti-virals (DAAs)

1 tablet every day with meals , used with combination with another DAA(Direct-acting antivirals)
